Staff Spotlight: Kevin Lufkin, Pianist

Staff Spotlight: Kevin Lufkin, Pianist

What was your path to MPCS?

I ended up working at MPCS because I had previously played with people in the eurythmy community while being the pianist for Sound Circle Eurythmy. I met Elizabeth Uppenbrink there, who then brought me on board to play for chorus and eurythmy classes.

What is your job at MPCS?

I am a pianist for eurythmy and choir classes.

What are you looking forward to most this year in your job?

I enjoyed the choir concert this Wednesday. It was fun to hear the progress all the kids have made and to be part of their performance.

What excites you most about Waldorf Education?

Regarding Waldorf education, it’s something I was unfamiliar with until the past few years. I’ve really enjoyed learning about it and I especially appreciate that the arts and creativity (including music!) are valued and seen as important.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my spare time, I especially enjoy going to concerts, playing disc golf, hiking, and climbing, and playing chess.
