FUN RUN

Our first fundraising event happens every fall when all students, regardless of ability, join together to have fun and raise money for our school (carergivers can join, too!). Our fundraising goal this year was $56,000 and our community went above and beyond by raising over $59,000! For classrooms that meet their goal of $100 per student, $400 will be earmarked for their class account.

Where Does the Money Go?

The money raised from FUN RUN goes towards:

The Games department. Campus enhancements.

Music, Art, and Theater programs.

Continuing education for our teachers.

Field trips. Scholarships for instruments.

Sponsored by Family Council

WINTER MARKET

A local artisan community market and fair. The Winter Market is our seasonal pivot toward the winter and holiday season. With food, crafts, and artisan goods bringing us together to gather again before we retreat and reflect during the darker months, it is a joyous day of festivities.

How is this a Fundraiser?

The money raised from booth rentals covers the cost of the event and ensures that we can continue our community events.

The funds raised at the Student Marketplace booths goes directly to the class/grade accounts which helps to lower costs of field trips as well covers extra needs for the classroom.

ANNUAL GIVE

We ask that all families provide a monetary contribution that they can afford. Take the stress out of a larger one-time donation and sign up for monthly giving. These payments can be timed in such away to ensure that any financial burden is lessened. You can set up your donation to be a recurring gift on the Colorado Gives website.

Colorado Gives. You can pay your annual gift in one payment or set up your donation to recur monthly.  For example, a monthly donation of $50.00 will easily meet the Annual Give goal and will provide financial peace of mind for your family. Give Monthly to Support Annually!

Offline Giving. If you would prefer to donate by check, simply attach a note to your donation with your child’s name, grade and teacher. Place your check (made payable to MPCS Foundation) in an envelope and either mail to MPCS or drop off at the Main Office. Our address is 4725 Miller St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

Stock Transfer. Making a gift to MPCS using appreciated stock, bonds, mutual funds, or property is a win for all parties involved. To learn more about our guidelines for transferring publicly traded securities to our school, please email the MPCS Foundation at foundation@mountainphoenix.org.

Corporate Matching Gifts. Does your company match employee-based contributions? If so, contact the Foundation so that we can verify your donations with your human resources department. Submit a Fundraising Idea

There are a wide range of fundraising activities that our community conducts on behalf of the school. These activities include large-scale programs (e.g., Fun Run) that the whole school benefits from and participates in. They also include smaller activities that raise funds for a specific class /group such as MPCS apparel sales, restaurant night events, and retail store promotions where a portion of the sales go back to the school.

For more information on the scope of our fundraising efforts, read the MPCS Fundraising Policy.

Do you have a fundraising idea?

In order to maximize our fundraising efforts (and avoid scheduling conflicts and fundraising “fatigue”) all school philanthropy is coordinated through the Fundraising Committee, which includes representation from school administrators, faculty and operations, as well as members from the Governing Council, Family Council, and Foundation.

If you have a fundraising idea you would like the Fundraising CommitteeFoundation to consider, please fill out the MPCS Fundraiser Proposal Form and submit for approval by the Fundraising Committee. When completing this form, be as detailed as possible, providing as much information as you can about anticipated expenses, expected income, volunteer logistics, etc.

The Fundraising Committee typically makes a decision within one week and will reach out if there are any additional details that are needed to make a decision. Be sure to submit your fundraiser request at least a month before the proposed event. Planning your fundraiser early helps to ensure it’s a success!
