Mountain Phoenix in the Community: Scarves with Heart

Mountain Phoenix in the Community: Scarves with Heart

On Saturday, November 11th parents and children from Mountain Phoenix visited parks near our school to distribute nearly 80 handmade scarves to those in need. The group distributed the scarves on November 11th (St. Martin’s Day) to invoke the spirit of St. Martin, who split his cloak in half to give to a beggar during a snowstorm to protect him from the cold.

Our school community gathered, knitted, chatted, and, through their efforts, provided a heartfelt gift to those in need of some warmth this winter season.
