On September 9th, a group of parent volunteers from our school assisted at RidgeFest, the annual Wheatridge community celebration. These parents helped children with crafts in the Teller Street Art tent, but also acted as ambassadors for the school by handing our Secondhand Sale and informational flyers.
Our volunteers shared the following about the event:
“It was a wonderful event! The volunteers were well-cared for! We were all given a very comfortable t-shirt, drink ticket and they even had a caterer bring in food (delicious guacamole)! Nicole from Teller Street Gallery& Studios was wonderful! She brought the craft & we helped her get as many kids involved as we could! All in all, I was very impressed with the Ridgefest and grateful to have had the chance to be involved.”
“Ridgefest was a blast this year even better than last year. Volunteering at the kids booth was fun and rewarding. Can’t wait until next year.
“Ridgefest was a great family-friendly event and an enjoyable volunteer opportunity. I appreciated the chance to meet some other Mountain Phoenix parents as well as represent on behalf of the school.”
