The MPCS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity that raises money for Mountain Phoenix Community School through various fundraising efforts. When parents or community members give to the MPCS Foundation, their donation can be eligible for a tax deduction.

The Foundation is run by a Board of Directors and overseen by the MPCS Governing Council. The Board meets regularly throughout the year and invites interested MPCS community members to attend.

With these funds, the Foundation is able to:

  • Aid professional development and training for our faculty
  • Support our Waldorf-inspired classrooms and curriculum
  • Provide grant matching and funds for capital improvements to our campus

Our Mission

To Support MPCS Through Fundraising

As a tuition-free public charter school, MPCS receives less government funding than public school. The Foundation is a non-profit corporation established in 2007 to raise money for the ongoing support of Mountain Phoenix Community School.

The funding for the Foundation comes from annual giving, fundraising events, community sponsors and grants. In the 2022-2023 school year, Foundation raised over $144,000.

The Foundation is run by parent volunteers and overseen by its Board of Directors, which provide stewardship of the Foundation, and seek to significantly expand the pool of financial and volunteer resources to serve the School.

During 2022-2023 school year, MPCS families collectively pledged over $26,000! We ask that you give what you can, from $25-$100/month or more. Consider scheduling an ongoing monthly pledge that fits your budget.


Trip to Hawaii? Weekend in the mountains? VIP campus parking spot? Join us in April to bid and help us meet our 2023-2024 goal of $40,000. Our MPCS community raised over $21,000 last year.


We put the fun in Fun Run with a live DJ that’s sure to put the pep in the step of our spritely sprinters! Let’s rally to beat last year’s goal of $40,000 again this September!
