Homeschool and other forms of alternative education have intrigued me since tutoring young children during high school. My first teaching was seasonal with the National Outdoor Leadership School in WY. I also pursued studio arts and co-owned fine FRAMING in CT for many years.
After the birth of my first child I joined a few other new parents in a group that evolved from discussions to a play group to an official school initiative. I was on the executive board and chaired the licensure committee. It became the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School in CT.
After having my second daughter I completed a BFA at NMSU and was a graphic designer at a print shop for several years. While caretaking for my mother and having my youngest still in school, I worked as a bookseller in Fort Collins. An empty nest led me to Antioch NH for Waldorf teacher certification.
This latest adventure has continued for over a dozen very rich years. Shifting from the lower grades at the Mountain Phoenix main campus to Lively Arts Homeschool was a natural transition. This will be my third year holding grades 3 and 4, and second teaching art 1-8.
Add inspiration from a wonderfully creative community, and my long, circuitous path has led to exactly the right place. I love our days and welcoming each of your children.
