Professional Journey:
Katie's journey in education began with a summer role as a preschool counselor at the YMCA in Estes Park. Following this, she spent two years working in Denver Public Schools (DPS). Her educational path took a significant turn when she discovered and fell in love with Waldorf Education. Katie initially joined a 4th-grade class, progressing with them to 5th grade, before looping back to 1st grade.

Interests and Hobbies:
When not in the classroom, Katie enjoys spending time in nature, relaxing at home, and engaging in activities like yoga and horseback riding. She also values quality time with friends and family.

Family:
Katie is engaged to her fiancé, Terry, and is a proud pet parent to two cats, Lily and Jem.

Motivation for Moving to Colorado:
Her affection for the mountains and outdoor activities were the driving forces behind her decision to move to Colorado. The state's natural landscape has been a constant source of inspiration and rejuvenation for her.
