2024 GC Election Notice

 The annual Mountain Phoenix Community School Governing Council election will take place the week of May 11th. 

There is one seat up for election this year. 

The term is for three years beginning on July 1, 2024 and ending on June 30, 2027. 

Interested in Running or Nominating Someone?

Interested eligible parties are invited to declare candidacy. Nominations will also be considered, subject to confirmation by the nominee. Please see eligibility criteria below. 

To declare candidacy, please submit: 

a letter of interest, a 1-2 page resume, and a signed Intent and Acknowledgement Form.

Please provide these items electronically to me*********@mo*************.org by no later than Monday, April 8th. 

A list of candidates will be published by Friday, April 12th. 

Please send nominations as soon as possible but no later than April 1st to Erin Hartlein (er***********@mo*************.org), David Pettit (da**********@mo*************.org) and Dede Deane de********@mo*************.org).

The next regularly scheduled Governing Council meeting will be held on Wednesday March 27, from 6-9 pm in-person and over Google Meets. Candidates are encouraged to attend. Additionally, attendance at any Governing Council 

Committee meetings prior to the election is strongly encouraged. Information on time and location of these meetings can be found on the MPCS Google Calendar. 

At the MPCS Annual Meeting on May 11th, members of the MPCS community will have an opportunity to meet the 

candidates. The candidates will be interviewed at that time by the current members of the Governing Council. Voting will occur May 13 through May 17.
